Students must apply for a student pass in order to visit Singapore after receiving an offer letter from their preferred institute for a certain course. On behalf of the students, institutions in Singapore will submit (register) applications for Singapore student passes for students from India with the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA). The deadline for new student pass applications is one month prior to the start of the course. The Student's Pass On-Line Application & Registration (SOLAR) system must be used to submit applications.

The college must first register the international student through SOLAR with the following details before the student submits an application for Student's Pass-through SOLAR.

  • Name, birthdate, gender, and nationality of the student

  • Information about the course, the start date, and the finish date

  • Application reference number for SOLAR

  1. Student submission of e-Form 16. The student can access SOLAR and submit eForm 16 after the college has successfully registered them. Before logging into SOLAR, applicants must have the following data:

  • Confirmation of registration notice that includes the college's login details

  • Passport information (passport number, date of expiry, etc.)

  • Singapore's address and phone numbers (or, if none are available, the address where the school is registered).

  • Email address of the applicant.

  • One recent color passport-sized photo.

Note: The university will finance a Social Visit Pass so that a spouse and children of full-time graduate research students can stay in Singapore. Graduate students should help their spouses and children ask the Singapore embassy for entrance visas. The spouse and kids will receive a 4-week Social Visit Pass at the airport when they arrive in Singapore.

Additional Details

Up to 16 hours per week can be spent working part-time. People who wish to work over the holidays don't need work permits because they are able to do so without any limits on their visas.

If international students desire to hunt for jobs in Singapore once their degree program is finished, they can apply to ICA (Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore) for a one-year Visit Pass. Through e-VP, you can accomplish this online.
