Millions of students share one dream - education abroad. We all are aware of this common aspiration of the youth but do you know how many dreams are broken just because of some myths? There are no statistics available to demonstrate this but isn’t it obvious? If not then let us get to this thing logically. A student, while making up his mind to study in another nation, researches on the internet, ask fellow mates, relatives, etc and gather information. But all the information accumulated is not always correct. The small piece of false information can coerce any student to abandon the idea of education abroad.

Myth #1 - Studying abroad is all about fun and luxury.
Fact - You are proceeding to live abroad autonomously where you have to perform all your chores along with educational assignments and projects. Very limited time will be bequeathed after these things which you can use to explore the country and have fun. Therefore, studying abroad consist of hard work, dedication, delight, and fun. Although the challenges which you will face make this experience adventurous.
Myth #2 - Indian students get overlooked in other nations and universities.
Fact - This statement is absolutely wrong and we feel that the media is responsible for promoting this myth. In modern times, universities and colleges are aiming at building an inclusive environment where there is no difference between any student on the basis of race, caste, nationality, etc. The faculty is very supportive for every student and the educational system abroad is holistic which aims at elevating learning without any hindrance.
Myth #3 - Getting high and desirable GRE or IELTS is too perverse.
Fact - After observing the results of tests like IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, etc, several students appear discouraged. Such high scores requirements in foreign universities make them feel like they can’t realize those qualifications. But it’s not true because this is all about your preparation for the test. If you have prepared judiciously, then nobody can obstruct you from attaining high scores.
Myth #4 - Education abroad is not affordable and does not guarantee anything.
Fact - I agree you have to spend several cents of your savings or hard-earned money on education abroad. But think like you are investing in yourself and then assess the returns on investment. Aren’t they high enough? If returns are high, then you should study abroad without any doubt. Moreover, there are lakhs of colleges and universities in the world in which some have extremely high fees while some have moderate ones. So, it depends on selecting a university whose fee structure suits your budget. And if you research accurately, then I am sure you can locate it.
Myth #5 - Finding scholarships in abroad for international students is very difficult.
Fact - This myth is quite a lame one. How can one say that it’s very difficult? It’s all about competition and at what rank you stand in the competition. Several students apply for financial aids like scholarships and only some of them receive them. But this does not imply those students are not internationals. If you have an excellent academic record or the capabilities which can fulfill the conditions of the scholarship, then nobody can stop you from receiving it.
Myth #6 - It isn’t safe to live in another country among strangers.
Fact - In this one, I will say that you are not safe where you are living right now. Yes, because crime is everywhere and no matter where you go, it will follow you if it’s in your destiny. Moreover, universities abroad have strict protocols for the safety of students on-campus and off-campus. A booklet is also provided to students during the orientation in which all emergency contacts and instructions are written. Many have severe punishments for harassment and bullying.
