2. COST OF STUDENT VISA 

You need to secure a student visa for entering Canada for studies. The cost of a student visa is approximately CAD150. 

3. TRANSPORTATION COST 

For short distances, you can use regional trains, buses which will cost between 80-110 CAD per month. For traveling between India and Canada, one side fare will be more than 500 CAD. 

4. ACCOMMODATION COST 

There are two types of residential facilities available for international students: On-Campus accommodation or Off-Campus accommodation.                    On-Campus accommodation expenses vary between 8,000-10,000 CAD annually and for Off-Campus accommodation, in which you can live in a shared apartment, will cost you around 400-700 CAD per month. 

5. LIVING EXPENSES 

Living expenses include what you are spending there for completing your basic necessities. In foreign countries, it is recommended to not become a spendthrift. You should maintain a record of your outgoes to prevent overspending. The major expenses will be:

Books and stationary: Books in Canada are a little bit expensive. The average costs can go as high as 250-500CAD.

Internet facilities: In this modern era, the internet also comes under the category of essentials. On average, you need to spend 50-70CAD per month on the internet.

Personal expenses: Your personal expenses will cover clothing, dining out, laundry, electricity, and water bills, etc. You might incur around 150-200CAD per month on personal expenses. 

Food and eatables: for purchasing fruits and groceries, you can go to some cheaper stores in Canada like Canadian Superstore, Walmart, or any other local supermarket.

Communication expenses: since you are an international student, you will be calling your family and friends usually, so you should go for cost-effective calling plans for that. The average cost is approximately 20CAD. 

So, You need at least 15,000CAD annually to cover up all your living and accommodation expenses.
