Indian students of today have different requirements and aspirations concerning their education, career, and life as compared to those before them. Their choices are varied as there are many different paths to choose from and the expectations or norms that held many back in past, do not affect them. Every student will create a future for themselves that will satisfy their needs but in some way also give comfort to their parents, who are concerned about their well-being. 

What most students of today want is to live abroad, for they believe that their needs and the quality of life that they seek will be met there. They are fascinated with the culture, way of life, or simply the physical beauty of the foreign land and want to be a part of it. It is a way of satisfying their curiosity and quenching their thirst for an adventure, and living in a country very different from their own might just be the way of doing this. A reason for wanting to live abroad can be to gain a personal sense of freedom from the monotonous life they might live in their native land. This feeling of venturing out isn’t wrong or unpatriotic, it is totally understandable considering the multitude of choices they have available and the freedom to choose.

What any Indian student will want is to feel comfortable and welcome wherever they live. They will want to mesh into the fabric of society without seeming to be outsiders. They may not necessarily want to identify with the foreign customs and traditions but nevertheless want to feel free to live, wherever they choose without facing any alienation. 

Every student wants to be free of constraints that affect their career and lifestyle, and want to be free to interpret traditions and norms in their own way. This independence is wanted every student seeks to achieve by studying and/or living abroad. A major need that cannot be overseen is to be fiscally satisfied along with a quality of life that not only is sufficient but also comfortable.
