When you go to study abroad, you have to bear a number of expenses, such as travel, accommodation, and food. Only a handful of students can get scholarships and grants from their universities, while others struggle to survive in a new country. That is when they start looking for part-time jobs. However, getting a job in another country can be a little difficult. If you are also trying to find part-time work, go through the tips mentioned below to improve your chances of getting hired. 

1. Prepare your resume.

When you apply for a job, your resume is the first thing the employer will ask for. It contains all the information related to your academic and career, which gives the recruiter an idea of whether you will be a good fit for a particular job. So add only relevant details about yourself in the resume and make it as attractive as possible.  

2. Keep an open mind.

While looking for a part-time job abroad, you should keep an open mind, at least in the beginning. Your first job may not bring in the pay you were expecting. But as you gain more experience in your field, you can demand a higher remuneration package. Over a decade ago, it was too difficult to find a job as there were not enough platforms. In today’s time, you will find plenty of applications and websites that help you apply to hundreds of jobs from the comfort of your couch. So take advantage of all these platforms such as LinkedIn, Fiverr, Upwork, etc. to improve your chances of getting hired.  

6. Prepare for Interviews

As said earlier, interviews are the most important part of the selection process. You have to go in prepared for whatever questions the interviewer throws at you. One of the common interview mistakes is not having any knowledge about the company. Research about the organization you are interviewing for and learn what they do. Moreover, when you are answering a question, be confident and stick to the topic while answering.
