The deadline for new student pass applications is one month prior to the start of the course. The Student’s Pass On-Line Application & Registration (SOLAR) system must be used to submit applications.

  1. Submission of an Application by a Higher Education Institution (IHL)

The college must first register the international student through SOLAR with the following details before the student submits an application for Student’s Pass-through SOLAR.

  • Name, birthdate, gender, and nationality of the student

  • Information about the course, the start date, and the finish date

  • Application reference number for SOLAR

  • Passport information (passport number, date of expiry, etc.)

  • Singapore’s address and phone numbers (or, if none are available, the address where the school is registered).

Note: The university will finance a Social Visit Pass so that a spouse and children of full-time graduate research students can stay in Singapore. Graduate students should help their spouses and children ask the Singapore embassy for entrance visas. The spouse and kids will receive a 4-week Social Visit Pass at the airport when they arrive in Singapore.

Additional Details

Up to 16 hours per week can be spent working part-time. People who wish to work over the holidays don’t need work permits because they are able to do so without any limits on their visas.

If international students desire to hunt for jobs in Singapore once their degree program is finished, they can apply to ICA (Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore) for a one-year Visit Pass. Through e-VP, you can accomplish this online.
