  3. Every scholarship has its prerequisites. Only some of them are common among other scholarships.

  4. While some scholarships will mark you based on your involvement in extracurricular activities and volunteering services also. So, be prepared accordingly. 

What amount will be offered through scholarships? 

  1. Generally, the amount is always stated in the scholarship. Either you will get an exact cash prize or they will fund your studies partially or fully. 

  2. Some research programs finance 100% of your tuition fee along with covering your living expenses either partially or they can choose not to. 

Apart from scholarships, another option available is educational loans. Education loans are offered by many Indian banks at easy repayment schemes without any rigorous burden. This is how you can plan for your future in advance. 

Education Loan: Facts 

  1. Education loans are available to those between the age group of 18 to 35 years.

  2. Short-term courses are not covered under education loans.

  3. No security is demanded granting education loans up to Rs. 4 lakhs. For loans more than 4 lakhs and less than 7.5 lakhs, a third-party guarantee is required. And for loans of more than 7.5 lakhs, tangible collateral security is required. 

  4. A co-signer is required which can be your sibling, parent, spouse, or other family members, for full-time courses.
