But some teenagers come under the pressure of their parents easily and select the career fields of which they aren’t assured. 

But overall, every student struggle on choosing what to do at some point in their life. Some regret their choices while some are proud of their selections. So, if you are also grappling to find an ideal career for you, then keep on reading with full concentration. 

Find answers to the following questions and you will have the key factors which will lay the foundation for your career. 

1. What is my passion?

We all say like discover your passion and then convert it into your career. It’s the best combination which will enable you to enjoy your professional life. So, what’s that one thing or activity which stimulates your enthusiasm?

2. What skills do I have?

Take a cup of coffee and pen down the skills you have. Here, I am saying you to write your academic skills only. Include every skill you posses – for example – cooking, dancing, conversational abilities french language, etc.

3. What is the minimum money I want to make

Well, considering your wealth requirements is necessary but remember, it’s not the sole factor driving your career choice. Also, don’t say like you want one lakh at minimum or something like that. Be practical while answering the questions. Interrogate yourself and then see, what are your actual requirements. 

4. What are my interests and hobbies?

Interests and hobbies means those activities where you feel calm, satisfying and fulfiling. So, pen down such activities and also see where you love spending time – outdoors or indoors or in which sort of environment, you appreciate working. 

5. What are my strengths and weaknesses? 

While introspecting your soul, it is very important to get acquainted with your strengths as well as weaknesses. Instead of working on your weakness, use your strength and achieve the goals. 

6. What are the potential careers in my interests?

Well, you must have identified some career domains based on the previous five questions and now it’s time to augment about the potential careers possible in such domains. 

7. How many jobs are available in the field?

It is not necessary to work in only those fields which are popular and have several jobs. You should research about your field and the potential jobs in that. See, how many job profiles are there and how easy is to switch between them. 

8. How much growth is in the career field since the last decade?

This factor is very crucial for your career growth. You shall investigate about the how much growth has happened in the career field since last decade. If the growth was stagnant but it is predicted to progress, then that’s a good domain to enter. 

9. What are my short-term and long-term goals?

Identify what do you want to achieve within short period i.e. your short term goals. For example – working on projects, learning international language, etc. Also, identify what do you want to achieve withing 5 years from now, i.e. your long term goals. For example – you want to work with a MNC, travel abroad, etc. 

10. Where do I want to get settled?

Decide where do you want to get settled. If you wish to remain in your home country, then search for education and job opportunities there only. But if you wish to settle abroad, you need to start now and prepare according to the standards accepted in abroad.
