Universities offering Medical studies in Singapore 

In Singapore, only two universities offer medical education and both of them are doing excellent in this field. 

  1. National University of Singapore 

Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine is the only school that administers 5-year medical courses. It is the first medical school in Singapore. It offers several undergraduates, graduate, and research programs in the fields of medicine and nursing. The annual tuition fee of the MBBS program is SGD 61,850. The eligibility criteria for getting admission in this school is 

  1. It is mandatory that you have passed class 12th with science stream.

  2. You have cleared the entrance examination of MS-CIT or ASSO-CET with not less than 50% marks. 

2. Nanyang University of Singapore 

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is the youngest school in collaboration with Imperial College London. The school offers both 5-year undergraduate degrees and graduate programs in various disciplines of medical education. The school aims at developing a strong foundation in the concepts of the scientific basis of medicine. The notable faculty emphasizes on training students with high tech pieces of equipment. The courses offered are MBBS, PhD in research, Diploma in Medicine, sports medicine. The eligibility criteria for getting admission in this school are

  1. Meeting mother tongue language requirements.

  2. IELTS score should be equal to or more than 6 or TOEFL scores.

  3. Appeared for NTU entrance examination.

  4. You should be medically fit.

The tutoring fee is SGD 74,900 annually. 

CURRICULUM OF MBBS DEGREE

The curriculum of MBBS in Singapore is very advanced and up to date. The degree is divided into 5 phases. Out of these 5 phases, phase 1 and 2 covers general disciplines of medicine and human anatomy.
