In today’s scenario, Canada is facing a skill shortage in various sectors that include both skilled and semi-skilled sectors and there is a dearth of local talent and an aging workforce have combined to create a labor shortage drastically. So, the skill shortage has created a demand for immigrants with the required skills according to need. So, the government of Canada has therefore increased its immigration targets and plans to bring in 1 million immigrants by the 2022 year. Thus, it is to meet the labor shortage the various sectors in the country are facing, and also, In keeping with this plan, Canada seeks to invite 341,000 skilled workers in the 2020 year. The students belong to any one of the occupations that are in demand and then they have a good chance to find work and immigrate to Canada accordingly.

  1. The Skilled Work Experience :

 The students must have at least one year’s experience in continuous full time or in an equal amount of part-time skilled work experiences.  It must be paid work, unfortunately, volunteer and internships or unpaid work will not be accepted. Besides, the work experience must be in the same National Occupational Classification -NOC skill type either 0, A, or B and must be within the last decade.

  1. Language Ability :

The students must provide evidence of their ability to speak English or French and it is in the format of a test. Also, the test will cover speaking, reading, listening, and writing and it is designed to show that students can meet the Canadian standard and the test has to be approved by the CIC -Citizenship Immigration Canada and it is recommended to go for IELTS as they are known worldwide.   1. Education :

Students will need to provide evidence of their education such as a completed foreign credential and also an Educational Credential Assessment -ECA, report from an agency approved by CIC -Citizen Immigration Canada. So, this report will show if their education is equal to a completed Canadian secondary or post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree.   • The Software engineer:-  It is a very high demand for software developers and Employers in Canada are looking to hire candidates who have extensive work experience. Also, the annual salary range for this profession will be between 92,450 to 157,165 CAD approximately.

  • Aerospace engineer:- Numerous job openings for aerospace engineers in Canada especially in the top four cities of Quebec, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia as well as Ontario -Toronto. So, the annual salary range for this profession will be between 89,700 to 52,490 CAD approximately.

  • Registered nurse:- There is always the demand for nurses and it has increased with an aging population. The Registered nurses can work as a coordinator or supervisor, primary health practitioners, dental nurse, licensed practical nurse, and nurse aid. Also, they can earn anywhere between 76,342 to 129,781 CAD per annum.

  • Occupational or physiotherapy assistant:- With an aging population has increased the demand for this profession as well drastically. So, the annual salary range for this profession will be between 70,000 to 90,000 CAD approximately.

  • The Business management consultant:- Mostly with more local workers retiring or moving on to other jobs and the need for business management consultants is growing. So, they can earn anywhere between 77, 875 to 132,388 CAD per annum.

  • College / vocational instructor:- There are thousands of vacancies currently open in many provinces and territories across Canada and a shortage of educators to fill them and teachers have been added to the list of high-demand occupations in the country accordingly. So, it is for those who are currently teaching are nearing retirement age. Also, the salary ranges from 47,736 to 75,408 CAD per annum.
