Italy 

World-famous for its exotic cuisine, Italy holds many other wonders that have instilled awe and excitement in people for a very long time. It is home to some of the most beautiful architectural pieces of history such as the Sistine chapel and the colosseum, the unique city of Venice, and the sun-soaked countryside that offers peace and relaxation.  

Italy is a popular educational destination as the fees are reasonable and far lesser than those in other western countries. Courses like economics, architecture, environmental science, and fashion designing are good in Italy. Many universities in Italy are amongst the oldest institutes in the world

Requirements

Most courses are taught in Italian and hence sufficient knowledge of the language is mandatory. Students will be required to pass the CEILS or CILS, which are Italian proficiency tests. If the courses chosen are in English then students will have to give the IELTS or TOEFL.

Students should have the previous qualifications for a course, i.e. relevant certifications, which are specified by the institute. Students applying for medicine courses will have to write IMA. Some institutes may require the GMAT.

Visa 

The procedures for the visa should be started as soon as the letter of acceptance is received. Students will need either a C or D type visa for studies.

C-type visa: for the duration of 90 days or less

D-type visa: for a duration exceeding 90 days. If this is chosen students will also have to get their residence permit by registering at the police station, within a week of arriving.

The basic requirements are:

  • Valid passport

  • Letter of acceptance

  • Language proficiency proof

  • Adequate financial funds and medical insurance

  • Proof of paid fees for the course

Fees and living

Fees in all public universities are quite low, around 1.5 lakh INR. Costs in private institutes are higher and can range from 3 lakh to 30 lakh.

Overall, Italy isn’t expensive and living costs will be around 80 k INR/month. Students can avail of public transport which is convenient and cheap. Accommodation can be found through the university, which will be easier and cheaper. Faculty and facilities are excellent ,and there are many things for students to explore.

Cyprus 

Often described as the jewel of the Mediterranean, Cyprus is truly a beautiful, sunny island country. Due to its unique position, it has gained influences from several civilizations, resulting in a beautiful mélange of middle-eastern and Mediterranean cultures. It has many golden beaches, snowy mountains, archaeological sites for outdoor recreation, mouth-watering cuisine and an energetic nightlife.

Requirements 

Studying in Cyprus doesn’t require any English language tests, though the scores can help admission. Many courses are offered in engineering, BBA, medicine and hotel management. Students can be accepted based on GCSE/IB/equivalent exams. Students can directly apply to the university.

Visa 

Students should apply for their visa 3 months in advance as it takes at least 1 month for processing.it cost 60 euro.

  • Health certificate

  • Acceptance letter and fees paid 

  • Certificates of educational qualifications

Fees and Living 

Fees usually range from 3 to 8 lakh INR in public universities, and the educational quality is considered to be very good. All public universities are internationally recognized.

Living costs are very low here. Students can live comfortably with 3 -7 lakh/year. Accommodation is around 20-30 k/month.  The weather in Cyprus is pleasant year-round and many speak English. The country is safe for students and very relaxed. It has a very exciting nightlife and the public facilities for sports are also very good.
